Fleece Performance Coolant Bypass Kit for 2013–2018 Dodge/Ram 6.7L Cummins
The Fleece Performance Coolant Bypass Kit is designed for compatible 2013–2018 Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 trucks equipped with the 6.7L 24-valve Cummins.
The rear cylinders of the 6.7L Cummins can receive less coolant flow than the front cylinders, which may contribute to higher localized coolant temperatures and pressure near the rear of the engine block.
This kit adds a secondary, temperature-controlled coolant path intended to improve coolant circulation at the rear cylinders while maintaining an OE-style fit and appearance.

How the Coolant Bypass Works
The factory cooling-system layout can leave the rear cylinders with less coolant circulation than the front cylinders. Under demanding operating conditions, this may contribute to increased coolant temperature and localized pressure near the rear of the engine block.
The Fleece Performance Coolant Bypass adds a secondary thermostat and coolant passage at the rear of the engine. As coolant temperature rises, the bypass thermostat opens and allows additional coolant to circulate toward the front of the cooling system.
This temperature-based operation is designed to improve coolant distribution before excessive localized pressure becomes a larger concern.
Cooling-System Protection
By improving coolant circulation at the rear cylinders, the bypass kit is designed to help reduce the conditions that can contribute to excessive cooling-system pressure and freeze-plug concerns.

Application Notes
Some 2007–2018 trucks, including automatic- and manual-transmission applications, may be equipped with a factory transmission-fluid heat exchanger. These heat exchangers are uncommon but may be found more often on trucks originally sold or operated in colder climates.
Trucks equipped with the factory transmission-fluid heat exchanger require an additional heater tube, Chrysler part number 68048997AA, to complete the installation.
- Inspect the truck for a factory transmission-fluid heat exchanger before beginning installation.
- The additional heater tube is not listed as part of the standard bypass kit contents.
- Confirm part availability with a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram parts department before installation when required.
