The S&S Diesel Motorsport 6.7F-DCR-1 CP4 to DCR Pump Conversion Kit replaces the factory CP4 high-pressure fuel pump on compatible Ford 6.7L Powerstroke trucks with a purpose-built two-piston DCR high-pressure fuel pump.

The factory CP4 pump can become a major concern if an internal failure occurs because metal debris may circulate through the high-pressure fuel system, potentially contaminating the injectors, fuel rails, lines, and other fuel-system components.

Rather than adding protection around the existing CP4, the S&S DCR Conversion Kit removes the CP4 pump entirely and replaces it with a DCR pump developed specifically for the 6.7L Powerstroke application.

Developed by S&S Diesel Motorsport in collaboration with PurePower Technologies, the DCR pump is designed to work with the factory 6.7L Powerstroke fuel system while maintaining the fuel-delivery characteristics required by the engine-management system.

With a displacement of 1,250 mm³ per revolution, the DCR pump provides approximately 25% more displacement than the factory CP4.2. This additional capacity provides increased fuel-delivery headroom while maintaining compatibility with stock engine-management controls.

The two-piston DCR architecture uses an eccentric-drive pumping system along with pressure-lubricated internal components designed for durability in demanding high-pressure diesel fuel applications.

The pump is also engineered for reduced hydraulic and mechanical noise compared with the factory CP4 while providing compatibility with a range of diesel fuel formulations.

The conversion kit includes the DCR high-pressure fuel pump along with the required braided fuel hose, steel fuel lines, fittings, and related components needed to adapt the DCR pump to the factory 6.7L Powerstroke fuel system.

Because this conversion physically replaces the CP4 pump, it can be installed as a preventative upgrade before a CP4 failure or used as part of a fuel-system repair when replacing a failed CP4.

If the original CP4 has already experienced an internal failure, the remaining fuel system should be carefully inspected for metal contamination before installing the replacement pump. Contaminated fuel-system components may require additional cleaning or replacement depending on the extent of the failure.

Installation is designed around the factory engine and fuel-system layout, with the included lines and hoses providing the connections required for the DCR pump. Certain earlier-model applications may require an application-specific vacuum pump gasket during installation.
